About

We are pleased to present the Tourist Route project, an initiative designed to showcase the hidden treasures and iconic attractions of our region. This project has been carefully designed to offer visitors an immersive and enriching experience, guiding them through picturesque and diverse itineraries. Each route has been designed to capture the interest of tourists while allowing them to discover the richness of our natural and cultural heritage.

Mission

Objectif

The project aims to promote local attractions and stimulate tourism. By creating two distinct itineraries, we offer visitors a variety of experiences, ranging from beaches to local restaurants and cultural sites. Posters and explanatory brochures, as well as interactive maps on the Viva Shediac website are available for optimal planning.

Importance

This initiative is boosting the local economy by attracting tourists and showcasing our regional strengths. It encourages balanced and sustainable tourism development, strengthening the pride and belonging of residents. This project celebrates our heritage while supporting the economic and cultural well-being of the region.

Coastal Route

​The Route de la Côte will guide you through picturesque destinations like Chez Léo for local specialties, the Pays de la Sagouine for a cultural immersion, and the Irving Arboretum for nature. Take advantage of the Cape Lumière Beach to relax, visit the Lavender Farm at Ocean Breeze for its fragrant fields, and discover handmade soaps at the Savonnerie Olivier. Finish with an ice cream at Petit Crémier in Bouctouche.

Sea Route

The Route de la Mer takes you to Homarus to discover lobster fishing, then to Pointe du Chêne and Plage Parlee for magnificent beaches. Explore the Historic Barachois Church, relax at Aboiteau Beach and Murray Beach Provincial Park, and take in views from Cape Tormentine. Finish your journey by enjoying dishes at Bistro Le Chat Bleu.

These itineraries highlight the natural beauty, culture and gastronomy of our region, offering a rich and varied experience to visitors.
